Jason served on the Tasmanian Division of the IPA as President from 2005 to 2007. Jason was elected to the IPA Board in November 2008. Jason is a Deputy President and currently sits on the Board Executive Committee and is Chair of the Board Disciplinary Tribunal. Jason is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Registered Tax Agent, SMSF Auditor and Registered Migration Agent. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Diploma in Financial Services, Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance, a Graduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice, an MBA, a Bachelor of Laws, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Jason is a Director and Chairman of five unlisted public companies in sectors including roadside maintenance, recreational aviation, food recycling, aquaculture and land-based drones. Jason has also had valuable experience as an accounting teacher at the former TAFE Tasmania and as a Trust Administrator with Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees Ltd.
Ali has an ability to liaise with people from all backgrounds. He is reliable, and easy going, with good communication skills. Ali works effectively within a team environment, and he possesses an enthusiastic approach to work and attention to detail. Ali is great at project management and time management. He is a tech-savvy accountant, with a natural feel for commerce. Ali has several years’ experience as a tax consultant. He is comfortable with MYOB and Xero softwares, and is a Xero Certified Advisor. Ali also has a feel for teaching and training having assisted many people with English courses. Ali often acts as the internal I.T. fix-it person for Jason Parker Legal
